** Restarting is when you completely shut down the system (including programs and windows) and it then restarts windows and programs. Logging off..logging off is the process of closing personal settings and information set up and saved under your screen name.

3. What is the difference between Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows? Windows are what is used to store and view materials and documents. Microsoft Office is the collection of microsoft programs (i.e. Publisher, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)used for a variety of publishing, document creation, accounting (etc) tasks...

4. What type of operating system is running on the computer you use the most?

6. What is the difference between PC and Mac (Apple) computers? Well, both are personal computers but Apple computers use MAC programs that are usually not compatable with Microsoft and other programs. They use different operating platforms.

**Internet - access to the world wode web and all its info. InRAnet - in-house system that stores information and access to pages specifically created and geared toward MPL staff.

9. What is the difference between a computer hard drive and a computer tower?
*The computer tower is what contains the computer hardwater such as the hard drive, disc drive, floppy drive. extra memory, the sound card and other various components. The hard drive is the actual computer board that contains the operating programs and other vital information. It's the brains of the operation.

10. If the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard doesn’t seem to be working what key should you press enable numbers? You should punch the NUM LOC key and unlock the key pad
