1. What is the difference between a CD-R and a CD-RW disk? DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW?
- A CD-R is a disc where documents, images, and audio files can be saved. Items can only be saved once on the disc but you can access the information many times. A CD-RW can be re-written. Documents, images, audio files can be erased and the disc can be reused. A DVD+R/RW has an increased capacity for holding data like movies or to backup/store information(audio/video)and is compatible with a larger number of DVD players. A DVD+-R/RW is an optical disc.

- ALT+TAB: Allows user to toggle b/w screens
- CTRL+B: Highlighted text turns bold
- CTRL+Z: Restores recently edited data
- CTRL+I: Highlighted text turns to italics
- CTRL+U: Underlines highlighted text
4. Locate and Press the “Print Scrn” button on your keyboard. Open a new Microsoft Word document and select the Paste command. What do you see?
- Copied to the clipboard is a shot/pic of the items currently in view on the screen
5. What happens when you press the Insert key while editing a document?
- The insert key allows the user to enter characters. The previous characters are erased and replaced with the new characters. If the button is pushed again, the new characters are inserted without deleting the old characters.
6. What is the difference between a jump drive, flash drive, USB drive, and thumb drive?
- There is no difference. it's the same thing. They are all portable memory data storage devices.
7. How do you schedule a room for a Library event? (Hint: You do NOT use the public website)
- Staff reserving the meeting rooms for a library event need to access the rooms maintenance area of the evanced calendar, put in the password, choose the date they want the room and fill out the blanks for program information. If there is a conflict, the software will automatically give notification upon attempting to save the event.

-1024 megabytes = 1 gigabyte

- 1024 gigabytes in a terabyte
